INTERDISCIPLINARY ANALYSIS OF WOMEN'S ROLE
* A series of lectures, films, & presentations by speakers from a variety of disciplines (law, psychology,
economics, history, black studies, social work, literature, anthropology, etc.)
* The course focuses on subjects (e.g., female sexual slavery, sexual molestation of children, witchcraft, pornography) and on
population groups (minorities, women, third world) not usually covered in traditional courses.

Each student is assigned a discussion partner. Students are required to think independently and Not thoughtlessly to adopt ideas of speakersand texts. There is a midterm, a final, and a course booklet in which students briefly and critically analyze each presentation. Five paper­backs serve as texts.

B250 lectures & presentations are open to the public. The course is offered every spring. There are no prerequisites, although first semester freshmen need special permission to enroll.
