Indiana governor Otis R. Bowen (center) presents an official United States Bicentennial flag to Indiana University at South Bend Chancellor Lester M. Wolfson (second from right). IUSB was named a Bicentennial University by the American Revolution Bicentennial Administration for its programming in all areas of the celebration. Looking on are, from left, Dr. Patrick J. Furlong, associate professor of history and chairman of IUSB's Bicentennial Committee; John M.
