The Seahorse was an early LGBTQ-centered bar and night club in South Bend's west side. This photo shows the first location of the Seahorse. A 1982 fire, allegedly set by an arsonist, damaged this location. The owner, Gloria Frankel, and her friends built a new location on South Bend’s Western Avenue just a couple blocks away from the first.
